Kafer thickness gage J50 is shown above with 10 mm diameter anvils. This model is also available with 30 mm diameter anvils suitable for fabrics and other compressible materials. The lifting lever on these dial thickness gauges assures uniform pressure on repeated readings. Because an internal spring is used, the pressure increases slightly from the lower to the upper end of spindle travel. The standard pressure is 0.8 N but the manufacturer can modify this to as little as 0.6 N or as much as 2.0 N. If you require modification, you will have to specify at time of order, since this can not be altered by the end user. We can offer a discount when ordering more than one thickness gage.
