These are the very best small dial (40 mm diameter) indicators available. The craftsmanship and accuracy of these Swiss-made gages is superior to all others. The spindles are made of cold rolled steel and, unlike any other indicator, the spindle will not wear down with use and the teeth will not bend. They have an exceptionally long useful life which makes an investment in these worthwhile. We are still repairing Compac dial indicators made in the 1960's. These indicators come with flat backs. Lug backs, if needed, must be bought separately. You can find them on page 61. The stem diameter is 8 mm and a sleeve adaptor will have to be used if you intend on mounting them to 3/8" holders. Adapters and other contact points can be found on page 133. Bezel locks are not included on the standard models but are available for most models. They can not be retrofitted and must be specified at the time of ordering. If you need them, be sure to ask for them. Spare parts and repair service for Compac indicators are available from Long Island Indicator Service. Many of these models and all of the parts are in our stock. If an item needs to be ordered from Europe, you will have to expect a 3-4 week delivery. Compac type 353
