Standard Dial Bore Gage Extension Chart

Each Standard Dial Bore Gage comes supplied with a number of different extensions which need to be installed to measure different diameters. This chart will tell you which extension you should select for the desired measuring range. The extensions are the same for inch and metric bore gages. If you need to replace missing or worn extensions, they can be found on our parts lists for Standard Gage on page 72.

* Note: Bore gage No.6 requires plunger extensions when measuring above 9". Remove the gaging plunger contact point, using two wrenches provided, and screw it firmly into Extension B, also provided. then screw Extension B into the gaging plunger, again using the two wrenches, being careful not to destroy the threads in the process.
